Call for ideas – where you can read, vote and comment on other user's ideas on a topic and submit your own. Here's one set up by us to capture your ideas about the website: Wouldn't it be great if...
-
Quick polls – quick questions asked by users, conversations and groups which you can give just one answer to. The results of which you can instantly access. What do you think to ours: What is the best way to influence decisions
-
Surveys – launched by communities and conversations to get your opinions in more depth. Check out one of our first ones here: How do you like to take part?
-
Conversations – created by communities to allow discussion and decision making on a topic or by a certain group of people. We've got a few but our website development team has one here: Your feedback
-
Forums – you'll find these around the website; in groups, conversations and in communities. These allow you and the rest of the community to submit your own topics and respond to each other. Guess what? We have one here: the develop izwe forum
-
Blog posts – these are written by communities and conversations to keep you updated about what's going on. We also have our own version of a blog called izwe insights that we'd love your comments on.
-
Groups – anyone on izwe can set these up for virtually any purpose. They can be for organisations, friends, and interests or just about anything else. We rather like this one: The first group on izwe
-
Communities - space on izwe focused around one of our partner's communities. An open place for members of that community to collaborate, chat and engage with what's going on. If you head over to the izwe hub then you'll see where we put all of our content
-
Users – that's you and everyone else on izwe. You run the show and tell us what you think. The more feedback you give us the better the website gets!
-
Someone who is interested – you have issues you care about and want to engage with others, find out what they think and harness the power of the community. Sign up, get involved in the issues already being discussed discussed or tell us what you want to talk about.
-
Local community member – do you live or work in one of our initial partner areas? We’d love you to go on the izwe adventure with them!
-
Decision-makers – we have partnered with local decision makers because they want to collaborate with you to make their decisions best represent your view.
-
Community group – you inspire us and we would love for you to create a group on izwe and invite your network to become engaged.
-
Pioneer – if you are passionate about the role of social media in change we’d love to work with you to develop izwe. Please share your opinions on the site & contact us to get in touch.
What can I do?
To find questions to answer, surveys to respond to, decisions to be made or to share your ideas, the best place to start is the explore page. This is the hub for most of the content on izwe.
How do I do it with others?
The izwe community can be found in the community page (rather original we know) and is made up of the people and organisations using izwe for fun, to change things and for better decisions.
